Week Five Results Show is almost go!

Last night saw all change at the top of the Strictly leader board with two new couples rising to the summit for the first time. Overall, the standard remained very high with extraordinary performances including: Anita and Gleb’s sci-fi Tango, Jay and Aliona’s rocking Paso Doble and Georgia and Giovanni’s gravity-defying Salsa!

It was Helen and Aljaz and Kellie and Kevin who took the top spot on the night though, with scores of 35. A Quickstep set in a station proved that Helen and Aljaz’s training has been paying off and they fast-tracked their way to the top of the judges’ estimations. It didn’t take long for Kellie and Kevin to join Helen and Aljaz on top as their spy-themed Jive made no secret of their dancing prowess.

Unfortunately it was left to Jeremy and Karen to prop up the leader board with a score of 18. Their Waltz to Elvis Costello’s ‘She’ gained praise from Darcey and Head Judge Len but left Bruno feeling it was “like a book written 50 years ago that’s now out of print” and failed to raise more than a score of three from Craig.

So will Jeremy make it home and dry tonight? Or will Helen and Aljaz be derailed? Let us know what you think in the comments below and join us at 7.15pm on BBC One for the results!
