SlowPlaceLikeHome - Cesare's Principle
Friday 23rd October, 2015
They say: “'Cesare's Principle' is a track, written as part of the album 'Romola', which was heavily influenced by the Renaissance novel of the same name, by George Eliot. In the first draft of the album, it was meant to be the lead-out track but when revised, vocals were added by three young girls and hey presto! - The new version gained its stripes”.
We Say: "Weird and wonderful - like most things they do - this track is literally like nothing else we’ve heard from an Irish artist in a very long time. A wonky nursery rhyme, performed seemingly by kids, every beat sparkles and hypnotises. Beautiful and spellbinding".
Played on Across the Line in September, this is a new reworking of the track which features on ‘Romola (2015)’, it includes the Masterson sisters on guest vocals and the album is set for (re)release on Oct 27th.
