BBC Archive: A broadcast of the Chairing Ceremony from the National Eisteddfod of Wales in Machynlleth in 1937. The chair was won by T Rowland Hughes, an acclaimed novelist, dramatist and poet, who just happened to be working for the BBC in 1937 - much to the delight of the commentator when he realised who’d won the chair!
