Aah yes, the rumours were true! The beautiful Abbey Clancy is set to bring her sparkle to the Strictly ballroom.
The British model and TV Presenter officially confirmed on Twitter today that she’ll be swapping the catwalk for the dance floor, tweeting "Yes it's true I will be doing strictly #terrified #excited #SCD2013" with this stunning photo of her in costume:
We first saw Abbey on our screens as a contestant in Britain’s Next Top Model where she was propelled into the limelight, and she’s been there ever since. Most recently you’ll have seen her as the fashion expert on This Morning, so we’re sure she’ll be as excited as we are about the Strictly outfits, and who better to do them justice than a top model!?
Oh, and she’s married to England footballer Peter Crouch… did we not mention that? We’ll be doing some celeb spotting in the Strictly audience… it’ll be hard to miss him at 6”7!

Abbey joins BBC broadcaster Vanessa Feltz, golf pro Tony Jacklin, and Countdown co-host Rachel Riley in the line-up. Keep your eyes peeled as we’ll have one more announcements before Monday evening when the full line up is announced on The One Show at 7pm.

The 20 minute programme will be presented by Strictly 2012 contestant Lisa Riley, who'll bring all the glitz and glamour of the Hollywood-style red carpet to life. Viewers will get to see all the celebrity contestants of 2013 interviewed for the first time before the launch show on Saturday 7th September at 6.50pm. Get the date in your diary!
