The Media Centre website has published a transcript of Director-General Tony Hall's speech given at the Voice of the Listener and Viewer Conference on Wednesday 27 November 2013 at The Geological Society in Picadilly, London. 

Voice of the Listener (as it was originally known) was founded in 1983 by writer and broadcaster Jocelyn Hay CBE. Today, the organisation aims to safeguard the quality, diversity and editorial integrity of broadcast programming and helps develop opportunities in broadcasting and digital media.
