Rayleigh man grows 'world's tallest' artichoke

Available for over a year

A man from Rayleigh believes he may have grown the world's tallest artichoke in his front garden. Standing at more than 3m high (9ft 8in) the giant vegetable has already reached a first floor bedroom window. The current world record is 2.5m (8ft 2in) and owner Nathan Garnett reckons the artichoke might keep on growing, but fears it could topple before the record is confirmed...
