US and Iranian relations

Assignment

Available for over a year

The complex and fragile political relationship between the two countries. Iran and the US have appeared enemies for decades, but things could have been very different. Iran condemned the attacks on New York and Washington and backed the US attacks on Taliban targets in Afghanistan. However the US president's declaration of Iran as part of an Axis of Evil led to feelings of betrayal.
