'I came home with the gold medal - I'm very proud'

A Leicestershire mum is celebrating after a big win at the Japan Karate Association (JKA) World Championships.

Bianca and her daughter Cyra Webb trained at Kazokudai dojo in Blaby for several years in the hope of one day making it to the Japanese Championships. Bianca is chief instructor at the dojo, which she set up in 2021, and Cyra is an assistant instructor there, and provides karate lessons for children in the community.

Bianca has returned home with the title 'World Champion 2024', and Cyra just missed out on making it to the top 16 in her group. They have both been talking to BBC Leicester's Ady Dayman.
