Farage quits: UKIP voter says 'he knows he's divisive'
A UKIP voter has reacted to the resignation of Nigel Farage as leader of UKIP by saying that Mr Farage realised that he couldn’t unite the nation.
Frank Etchells told BBC Radio 5 live: "Because he's such a divisive character, and this is no longer about winning the Brexit [vote] but uniting the country, I think he recognises there is no way he could convince the Remainers, because he's that sort of a character."
Mr Etchells added that he thought Nigel Farage had achieved the "first stage of his mission" and predicted that in two or three years, Mr Farage would be an MP at Westminster.
