Chris and Frances are in Leicester to help Hector and Claudia transform their blank new-build plot into a Cypriot cooking garden for a growing family. Uneven grass, a sloped area behind the garage and a bare brick wall have left the space difficult to use.

The couple dream of a garden reflecting Hector’s Cypriot heritage and their shared love of food, with a dedicated outdoor cooking and dining area, alongside a vegetable patch for their first child, Arthur, to learn about growing food. They also want to retain a grassy area for their dog, Lilo, to play in.

Claudia and Hector met at Bristol University eight years ago, and after marrying in 2023, they celebrated their honeymoon in Rhodes with a romantic cooking class in the mountains. Now they’re ready to bring their Mediterranean-inspired vision home.
