Woman dies and man arrested after disturbance in Edinburgh

A 44-year-old woman has died following a disturbance at a house in the East Craigs area of Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to the property in Craigievar Square at about 20:45 on Monday.
The woman, who has been named by police as Vikki Soloman, was found with serious injuries and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland said a 46-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident and inquiries were ongoing.

Det Insp Mark McGraw said: "Our thoughts and condolences are with Vikki's family, who have requested privacy at this difficult time."
He added a police presence would remain in the area while inquiries continue and to provide reassurance.
