The main pool at the Isle of Man's National Sports Centre has reopened following repairs to a cracked pipe in its water circulation system.

The facility confirmed that water testing had been successfully completed and the usual timetable, including swimming lessons and classes, had resumed.

The training pool at the Douglas centre was closed in mid-December after the damage was discovered.

Two of the pool's lanes remain out of use because of a long-standing issue with damaged tiles.

The jacuzzi in the spa suite would stay closed until the end of January for maintenance, but the sauna and steam room remained available, the government previously has said.
