A man has been arrested following a crash in Derby which left another man with life-changing injuries.
Derbyshire Police said Scarborough Rise was shut at 17:00 GMT between Perth Street and Newark Road after a collision.
The force said a man had been taken to hospital and another man in his 30s had been arrested on suspicion of traffic offences. It did not share any further details about how many vehicles were involved.
Officers said the road is expected to be closed for some time and advised motorists to find alternative routes.
