Pedestrian seriously injured in A390 crash

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a car crash in St Austell.
The man, who is in his 40s, was hurt in the accident on Trevanion Road at the junction with Sawles Road at about 07:30 GMT.
He is from the St Austell area and his next of kin are with him in hospital, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
The force said the driver of a red Peugeot 207 stopped at the scene and was assisting the police investigation and it appealed for witnesses or anyone with information or dashcam footage to get in touch.
