The Social Security department advises the States on matters relating to: The provision of social security coverage, through social insurance, health insurance and other schemes of social protection, for the well being of Guernsey and Alderney residents and for migrant workers and their families. The provision, through the Parochial Outdoor Assistance Boards, of temporary financial support to persons whose resources are insufficient to meet basic living standards. It also controls and manages the Guernsey Insurance Fund, the Guernsey Health Service Fund and looks after the central Outdoor Assistance Board. Minister:-
