Housing Department

They try to make sure everyone has somewhere to live as well as issuing and monitoring licences.

Guernsey's Housing Strategy "aims to meet the identified housing needs".

The Department is responsible for:-

The provision of States housing and accommodation
The provision of assistance for house purchase and repair of housing
Controls on housing occupation
Controls on population growth (by limiting the effects of uncontrolled immigration)
The control of rents of dwellings in the private sector.
