Rachael Boy – Esoteric Path (Oaks RMX)

Friday 4th December 2015

They Say: “The original is a self-produced chilled dreamy soundscape of piano, strings and my vocal samples. My influences at the moment are Sufjan Stevens, Portico Quartet and Thom Yorke. Oaks has created an amazing electronic remix, with lots of rich synth, organic samples and hip hop style beats. The talented man is planning on releasing a new single in the next coming months featuring Jess Edlin.”

We Say: "Known for her performances with the likes of Joshua Burnside and Ciaran Lavery, it’s great to see Rachael Boyd stepping further into the limelight in her own right. ‘Esoteric Path’ is just that – a cerebral meandering track with minimal instrumentation and hidden depth. The Oaks remix adds another dimension again, with its thoughtfully layered vocal samples.”

Esoteric Path was released on 18th November
